Knee Pain Consultation in Wagholi, Thursday OPD

First Ayurveda visit for a painful knee? Our Wagholi clinic assesses Sandhivata and starts treatment the same day, no referral needed. Call 8698282507. If a parent at home has started avoiding stairs, this post explains what a first Ayurveda visit actually involves.

First Time Trying Ayurveda?

Many families along the Wagholi and Kesnand road have never consulted an Ayurvedic doctor before, and arrive expecting either an instant remedy or a lecture. It is neither. The doctor examines the knee, asks how far you walk, how stairs feel, and what your digestion is like, then explains what is happening in plain language.

Ayurveda calls worn, painful knees Sandhivata. Think of a hinge that has lost its lubricant. Vata, the principle governing movement and dryness, rises and dries the joint. Cartilage then wears faster. Weak digestion adds a residue called Ama, which keeps the swelling going.

What Wagholi Offers, Stated Plainly

Wagholi is our in-person consultation centre. Your doctor examines the knee, grades the stage of wear, and starts internal Ayurvedic Medicine here. Long two-wheeler commutes on the Nagar Road stretch come up often in these consultations, and the plan accounts for them.

When your case needs Janu Basti or Basti therapy, we schedule it at our Hadapsar Panchakarma centre, a short drive away, and coordinate the whole course for you. We will tell you clearly at the first visit whether therapy is needed.

What to Bring to a First Visit

Carry any knee X-rays or scan reports you already hold, a list of current medicines including painkillers, and a rough note of when the pain is worst. Morning stiffness, night pain, and pain after walking each point somewhere different, so the detail helps.

Bring the person who has the pain, not only their reports. Much of the assessment is watching how the knee moves.
